About Mark Hemmis
Though eventually skateboarding took the backseat, video work led me to experiment with other mediums of design including photography, graphic design, animation, and web design. By fifteen I had won my first logo design contest; I can clearly remember going home that day sixty-five dollars in my pocket, a smile on my face, and what you might call my first real sense of direction in life. Much like the skateboarding endeavor, this website is intended to get me somewhere. It’s a collection of projects – some of which some were done for work and some of which were done for play – but make no mistake that all of them were done out of love. A love for design, a love for life, and a love for what I do every day. That said, I’m always looking for (and open to) new opportunities to collaborate, build, and grow... so get at me!
